the dance of the happy chicken lady

I got a guitar today. Oh. Yes.
It’s acoustic and 6-stringed: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Yamaha-GigMaker-Acoustic-Guitar-Pack-102920113-i1150348.gc
I got the whole set in-store. It was actually $199 ($211 with tax), and the only choice was the natural one. I really wanted the Tobacco Brown Sunburst version of the guitar.
I got home, pulled the guitar and accessories out of the box, and happily ran all the way up to my room. I insert the anorexic batteries into my electric tuner, and press the ON/OFF button. Nothing happens. I press it again. Yet, nothing. WHY WON’T YOUR WORK, DAMN IT?! And then I found out I put in the batteries wrong.
With my little issue solved, I started tuning the guitar. It took me forever to get it right. And then I proceeded to put on the strap. I still don’t know where to attach the other end of it.
I went to the computer and put in the DVD guide. I learned the chords, but now I’ve forgotten all of them except E-minor. In my defense, I kept getting distracted by the tiny black rose tattoo on the instructor’s right hand.
Then my mom started playing the guitar. And I thought I was bad at it. =)) “Who made those horrible noises?” Dad asked. Mom and I. “Do I have to answer that?” I say.
So now, the guitar is in my room, lying on the floor against the wall. I’m too lazy to put it in the case.
I need to search for guitar tabs of my favorite songs later.
Before going to Guitar Center, my dad and I went to this new place. It’s a Pho restuarant. Sorry, I can’t remember the name. The fried rice with beef over there tastes INCREDIBLE. You wouldn’t believe how much they gave me. The plate was bigger than my head, and I still managed to eat more than half of it. I took the rest home with me. No, not the plate. I can’t eat glass, to my disappointment.
Then I went to Office Max to get a new sketchbook. 11″ x almost 9″, 70 sheets. And the cover is light green in the front, and dark blue in the back. 8-)
My dad is currently watching the Super Bowl. I’m too lazy to go downstairs. I’m pretty sure the Colts will win, but it’s surprising for the Saints to come this far.
i’m totally open about my toilet issues

UPDATES

Why didn’t I just post a new entry? This entry looked so short that I took pity on it and now I’m making it longer. I guess you’re more interested in the new title of this entry. Well, I really am open about going to the toilet. Everyday at school during lunch, I clearly announce, “I need to go pee.” Exact words. It’s gotten to the point where all of my friends have gotten used to it and aren’t disturbed by it anymore. Also, yesterday a guy in my class kept saying that he had to bathroom, and Ms. A said that he can go, but she’ll just tell Mr. R (one of school admins). The reason she didn’t want him to go was ’cause people were taking a quiz. He just stormed out of the room with someone else’s agenda, and dropped the f-bomb while he was at it. Turns out he was hallucinating and all of us found out that he has diabetes and was getting treated by the nurse.
Right after he left the room, I quietly said, “Dude, and I have to go to the bathroom, too.” I guess people thought I was kidding since they started laughing, but I was DAMN SERIOUS. I was holding it in since the last half of 6th period, so I really had to go. My Asian bladder isn’t strong, sadly. When the bell rang, I ran down 2 flights of stairs (technically it’s 4. 2 flights = one floor). “GO! RUN FOR IT!” A friend shouted. I did. And happily made it into the girl’s bathroom in front of the main office. I believe that’s a big accomplishment.
I told my parents that I want to play the guitar. They actually agreed to get one for me, but it’ll have to be during the summer since I have school right now. AHEM, I have all A’s in my classes. I got a 96 on the math test, and 98 on the Bio one. And what am I supposed to do on my empty weekends? I can’t live off of the computer forever (Or can I?).
Sprained my ankle. It’s a minor sprain, but it’s been a week and it still hasn’t healed completely. I’m wearing an ankle brace right now, and several hours ago it was wet. I don’t know how it got wet, and I don’t want to know. Hopefully it was just water and not very clear urine. I think I got the sprain from playing basketball. I always jump when shooting because of my height, but I forgot to bend my knees that one time and hurt my ankle. Stupid me.
Pixeled something for a BWU competition. (first update)
I’m also thinking of doing an art piece to submit to my school’s Literary Magazine. It accepts both literature and visual art. Sweet.
Summary of 1/29—2/4
TheOUTLANDISH’s DNS servers still haven’t been changed, so I’m either going to have to stay with this domain or get a new one. Chickalent.info expires in two months (SHORT TIME, MAN). New layout. School’s been okay. I hate one of my teachers. Other than that, it’s all good. New kid today. I wanna be his friend, since I always want to make friends with the new kids. New drawing added to portfolio. (second update)
